LEST week is coming up and as we work to prepare our pages in the program and plan the TLS Cafe, we are getting excited about all the fun to be had!
LEST will take place on February 13th-15th and is a great way to get involved in the TLS community and earn some TIGER HOURS (oops – did you forget about your Tiger Hours due by the end of the year?)! Gina Levine is pumped about running the TLS Cafe at the the event again this year and NEEDS YOUR HELP! Watch for news and sign up opportunities to help out or contact her at the email address listed below! Last year, the Cafe profited about $1200 and the PTO has some big plans for how to enrich your child’s education at TLS (more on that soon) and you can help us move forward by giving a few of your hours.
Many of the parents who’ve been around TLS for years have asked us to make a call out the the parents of children in the younger grades. The students in the older grades will be competing in a wide gamut of events at LEST and they need their parent to be there cheering for them and encouraging them! That means that the parents of the younger grades are the ones we need the most help from as we run the LEST Cafe and any other volunteer needs. Won’t you help by looking at the bigger picture here – don’t just think of LEST week as days off and check out – but support our older students by linking up with our efforts in ways that frees their parents to participate in this great time! Your kids will soon be participating in LEST and you’ll feel the same pull to be in their corner, not handing out hot dogs!
Contact Gina Levine at email@example.com to volunteer!
